Our Uniquely Rare bird this week The Chocolate Orphington

Chocolate Orpingtons are such dark brown they almost appear black. Orpingtons tend to be very friendly and have a pet-like demeanor, they are a productive layer of medium-large brown eggs. Chocolate Orpingtons, just like any other color, are curvy birds that often go broody. Our Chocolate Orpingtons are smaller than the standard size, often called ‘Fun-Sized’.

The deep, rich beautiful color of the Chocolate Orpington is a must for your new flock! These gorgeous, birds stand out among all the birds making them an eye catcher to any poultry enthusiast.

Chocolate Orpingtons are fair egg layers, laying between 120-150 eggs per year and hens are often known to go broody.
