Update on our 2020 Chicken season

Chicken Season is in full swing and we are selling out our brooder every week. We want to Thank You for buying your chicks, chicken feeds and supplies from Woodville Ace Hardware. I spoke with both Mt. Healthy and Privett Hatcheries today and they assured me all orders are on schedule and will remain so unless US Postal Service shuts down.

I do suggest, if you are wanting to buy a number of specific breed of chickens, turkeys, ducks or guinea please call and pre-pay. We can increase the number of orders if needed, they are going fast. Keep your eye on the left hand column of this blog for what is coming in each week.
Thank You, Anice

This week we have Olive Eggers coming
olive-egger-chicken

When it comes to appearance – Olive Eggers are a wildcard. They are predominantly black, blue or brown chicks however they grow out in almost every color and/or combination of muffs and beards. Our Olive eggers are f1, meaning first generation, and are bred from Black Copper Marans, Welsummers and Ameraucanas. These chicks will grow into hens that lay predominantly green eggs ranging in color from sage to olive. There is potential to lay other colors also. They’re of moderate size and egg production – these are truly an ornamental bird.

We will soon have Pekin ducks, Bantams, Silkies, Guinea, and fancy Turkeys.
